Meet Cailyn Davis

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cailyn Davis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Cailyn, looking forward to learning from your journey.

You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I got my work ethic from my mother, she has 5 businesses and has always kept me close while in her meetings and throughout her planning. I watch her and always wanted to run business the way she does. She taught me how to start and maintain a business and when I get frustrated and want to give up, she reminds me of why I started it and why I can’t give up.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My name is Cailyn Davis and I formed BETA IOTA IOTA BETA, INC which is a nonprofit (501 3(c)) Youth Sorority when I was 11 years old. I formed Beauty Is In The Books book club at the age of 7 but over the years I felt it just wasn’t enough and I wanted more. My biggest goal is being able to get rid of the mean girl mentality one girl at a time to prevent bullying so I decided I wanted to start a SISTERHOOD that would provide a safe space for girls all over the world.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Consistency (I struggle with this)- sometimes being consistent is difficult, however if you have people around you that will push you, it will get you where you need to be.

Empathy- We never know what others are going through so I try to place myself in other peoples shoes and not judge.

Honesty- Being honest regardless of the outcome I learned is easier than not being honest because once you are dishonest you have to keep being dishonest.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

We are always looking for other organizations, schools and/or individuals to collaborate with, I have alot of ideas, however it’s hard to pull them off alone.

If anyone is interested in learning more about the programs and projects that we have so that they can consider collaborating they can email us at info@beautyisinthebooks.org
